I haven’t updated in my site in forever, but it’s not because I haven’t been busy with my yarn! I’ve been working on a crochet blanket for my dad. I had to make 13 panels identical to these. When I actually had time to sit down and work on the panels, it didn’t take long at all. It took me forever to make the first panel because I could not for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong with my front post treble stitch (FPtr). It took me at least 30 minutes to realize that I was supposed to skip a stitch after I did the FPtr. When I join them, the afghan will be 3 panels wide by 4 panels long, with the extra panel being added so that the afghan can fold up into a pocket. It sounds strange, but I’ll post pics when I’m finally finished with it.
I haven’t done the borders on all of the squares yet, so I’m working on that before I get to the final joining process. My Daddy better appreciate this gift!!!
I feel like I’m an EXPERT with the half double crochet and the FPtr after doing all 13 panels. *whew*
